Abstract :
In today s construction industry, the usages of lightweight natural aggregates are increasingly widespread. Pumice aggregates are specially used as a lightweight concrete aggregate. Besides, the use of hollow or solid concrete masonry units made by pumice aggregates in the construction industry has increased significantly. In recent years, new arrangements on the basis of new regulations has made in our country. After these arrangements, this type of lightweight aggregate masonry units is gaining importance and fire-resistance of these elements has become an important parameter. Therefore, fire resistance values and classifications of pumice concrete produced with pumice aggregates according to EN 13820 and EN 13501-1 standards are made in this study. In addition, the changes occurring in the uniaxial compression strength values of pumice aggregate pumice concrete samples after exposure to high temperature were also investigated.
