Title Of Article :
A REVIEW OF PCDD/Fs LEVELS IN ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLES AND ANALYSIS
Abstract :
An accurate, quick and cheap method for the determination of PCDD/Fs levels in the environmental matrices such as air, soil, vegetation, vegetative or animal food, sediments etc. in which persistent organic pollutants (POPs) tend to accumulate is very considerable issue for the environment and the public health. From this point of view, some questions including how much PCDD/Fs exist in the environmental matrices and which technologies are applicable to dioxin analyses should be concerned in details. In this article, an investigation on the PCDD/Fs levels and the typical levels of the dioxin congeners in the environmental matrices such as air, soil, vegetation, vegetative or animal food and sediment is presented. HRGC/HRMS and HRGC/LRMS-NCI techniques used frequently in the analyses of PCDD/Fs are evaluated and discussed.
