Abstract
Determination of microbial identification, distribution and treatment mechanism is quite difficult in complex environmental samples with traditional identification methods. Therefore, research in the field of microbial ecology in recent years, new molecular techniques has been developed for this purpose. Among these techniques, cloning and the creation of a gene library, denaturant gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) and fluorescent in situ hybridization with DNA probes (FISH) stand out. The application of these molecularmethods for the detection of microorganisms in treatment systems is an important step for understanding their roles in the ecosystem.
