Abstract
The most common cause of mononucleosis syndrome is Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) infection. Infectious mononucleosis due to EBV characterized by sore throat, fever and lymphadenopathy clinic and serologically by the presence of heterophile antibodies. However, there are also non-infectious causes that cause infectious mononucleosis-like table, many viral infections such as. One of them is hematologic malignancies. This article describes a patient with fever, sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, swelling in the neck accompanied by atypical lymphocytes in the peripheral smear and heterophile antibody positivity resembling infectious mononucleosis.
