Abstract
The illness is characterized by cough, coryza, fever, and a maculopapular rash that begins several days after the initial symptoms appear. There is a characteristic enanthem, Koplik’s spots, that is specific for measles and that precedes the onset of rash. It is one of the most contigous of the infectious diseases.
