Abstract
Acquired factor inhibitors are antibodies thatinhibit directly blood clotting proteins. Theseare seen in many clinical situations such as inhibitorsin hemophilia A, postpartum, in older patients,in association with various immunologicdisorders and various malignancies. Acquiredhemophilia A which can cause a considerableproportion of mortality and morbidity, shouldbe taken in consideration as a differentional diagnosisin patients who have prolonged aPTTand bleeding without a personal or family historyof bleeding disorder. There is no consensusabout the treatment strategy of acquired hemophiliaA yet. We reported a case of postpartumacquired hemophilia A who was treatedwith immunosupressive therapy.
