Abstract
As in many fields, tourism and travel web sites entered in to the important reference sources. Those web sites wait to be used with their interesting and attractive page designs every day. Infect competition is not only lived in the industries but also among the web sites. In this study first brief information is given about tourism demand, and afterwards the web site stickiness which is the most important determiner of the web sites’ competitive strength. The application is a field study carried out in Mugla tourism region based on questionnaire technique. The statistical methods such as frequency determination, averaging, ANOVA and Tukey are applied to the data of 400 questionnaires which were applied to the tourists visiting the area. The results of the analysis showed that 82% of the area visitor tourists who are daily or at least once or twice in a week internet users, use the internet intensively to plan their travel. Moreover the mentioned results of the analysis showed that universal stickiness variables such as, speed, simplicity, attraction and design comes very first among the features of the tourism and travel web sites.
