In this century, to sustain the competitive advantage of enterprises, having inimitable sources, in other words having talented manpower, retaining them and handling towards the rights of enterprises is of critical importance. Therefore, in today’s conditions of competition, talented manpower is decisive for the success of enterprises. On one hand, this causes “talent battles”, on the other hand it makes effective management of talents crucial. At this point, a new era has begun in human resources management, bringing in a shift from human management to talent management. In this study, the importance for enterprises of talent management which represents new era in human resource management has been studied theoretically by the help of practices and discoveries of researchers.
