Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to examine the impact of concept teaching that was designed according to Component Display Theory (CDT) in web environment on the students’ academic achievement. Pretest-posttest experimental design was used in the study. Independent variables of the study were web-based learning in which component display theory was applied and web-based learning in which traditional instruction was applied. Dependent variables were academic achievement. The different techiques and strategeis can be used to teach of any concept in CDT. To have difficulty of the students in the understanding of array concept, which is the one of basic subjects of programming’s teaching, was determined. In this study the teaching, which was preperated by presentation type of CDT on web, provide the advantages that guide to teach the bacis concepts of Programming Lesson. The example, which is about this teaching, was given.
