Abstract
The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between the organizational culture and leadership in non-profit hospitality business. In order to achieve this goal, a survey that contains the measure of organizational culture and the measure of perceived leadership style adapted by Ogbanna and Harris with charismatic leadership scale developed by Boal and Deal are applied. 103 employees of non-profit hospitality business in the region of Kusadasi, Didim and city center of Aydin were simple random sampling method as a sample, and organization culture of each non-profit hospitality business and leadership styles of managers were measured by this survey. Preliminary construct validity of leadership and organizational culture was tested using exploratory factor analysis. Internal consistency, assessed by Cronbach s alpha, for each of the content areas within each of four leadership styles and four organization culture types was found to be adequate to demonstrate reliability. Correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted to the relationship between organizational culture and leadership. According to the correlation analysis, it was found that there is a significant and positive relationship between the instrumental leadership and the community culture; there is a significant but negative relationship between instrumental leadership and bureaucratic culture. According to the regression analysis, charismatic leadership was found as the best leadership style for non-profit hospitality business.
