  • Abstract
    The character of accounting education is very important when the job descriptions of the accounting profession members is considered. The accounting education which is a kind of professional education is being given in secondary education, associate degree and undergraduate. However their mission and the sectoral expectations makes the education of accounting important which is being given in vocational high schools. The education of qualified staff in vocational high schools is not only an educational endeavour but has an important contribution to the development of the country. The importance of accounting education makes the satisfaction and the professional expectations of the students, important who will be trained in these departments. In this study, accounting education takes place as theoretical and the students satisfaction and their expectations of their department or the program have been evaluated by a field work. According to the research findings, most of the students knowingly preferred their department but it has been determined that they do not have adequate knowledge about accounting.
