A Preliminary Study on the Economic Green Algae of Çayağzı Stream (Antalya)

Abstract
The green algae are used to food, cosmetics, farmacology, medicine and so on in the Far East and Mediterranean countries. In this study, biomass of Gayralia oxysperma (Kützing) K.L.Vinogradova ex Scagel et al. and Enteromorpha intestinalis (Linnaeus) Nees from green algae in Çayağzı Stream (Antalya) were determined. In the region of 4 separate point samples of autumn 2011, were collected with quadrate method (50 x 50 cm) (Dodolahi-Sohrab A, et.al.2012) and then fresh weights were measured. Densities of this green algae were found between 63.12 to 258.08 g/m^2 changes. According to us, this species can be economical for the region.
