Seasonal Changes of macrobenthic biota in Antalya Rocky Coasts

In this research, the detection of changes in macrobenthic biota of upperinfralittoral and mediolittoral of the rocky coast of Antalya was carried out by seasonal examples in 3 regions (Side, Center of Antalya, Phaselis). During this study, sampling photos which have frames 50 x 50 cm = 0.25 m^2 were taken 10 units by underwater camera. Then all of the photographs were divided on the computer 10x10 = 100 square, and presence of macrobenthic biota groups in the square were counted. At the end, it was determined that the Mediterranean ecosystem similar to the general distribution of macrobenthic biota forming groups in Antalya rocky coast. It was determined that; red and brown algae from flora, Gastropods and Paguridae taxons from fauna which sampled in all stations and seasons are the common macrobenthic biota of region. Overall, in terms of indicator species and group distribution, which is a good ecological status of the rocky coast of Antalya, while the center was determined to be poor. In this study, it was concluded that; ecological status can be demonstrated with using both distribution of macrobenthic groups and water quality parameters.
