  • Abstract
    The training process of instructors and teachers has been discussed, especially in the most recent educational studies. There is a widespread suggestion in these studies that appropriately trained and qualified staff for the educational and business world cannot be found. This situation, which can not be ignored, indicates that the communication between the business world and educational world including the educational institutions could not be adequately established. Since professionals are trained by more than one teacher, it is important to establish what the mission to be undertaken by the individual teacher should be in the current century. How should the teachers, who should have this mission, be trained within the education and training system? In the light of these questions and concerns, the present study made a literature-based investigation of the general problems encountered in teacher training and the teaching profession and, the main aspects of teacher training were identified and some recommendations for improvements were made.
