Abstract
The hot springs which are located in Ilıcaköy of the Cimil Valley, that is within the city limits of Rize, are 6 kilometers away from İkizdere town centre. Located near the Cimil creek, the distance of the hot springs to Trabzon Airport is 95 kilometers, to Rize city centre is 60 kilmeter s, to İspir (a town of Erzurum)is 68 kilometers and to Erzurum city centre is 200 kilometers. The hot spring premises (Ridos Thermal Hotel Spa) which is founded on approximately 27.000 square meter land in a geothermal area and surrounded by a unique wood scene, is located in İkizdere’s Paradise Valley th at has a spectacular natural beauty, and it is also thebiggest facility in the Blacksea region. In addition, due to the more than 4000 different minerals it contains and the diseases it may help to cure, the thermal water is considered to be one of the five richest thermal waters in the world and the best one in Turkey. As a result of the analyses made on the water, it has been founded that it can be helpful for curing diseases such as rheumatic, joint diseases, neuritis, neuralgia, polyneuritis, broken and dislocated bones, neural diseases, digestion and circulation system disorders, blood sugar, herniated disc, urinary tract infections, gynecological diseases and dermatologic disorders.
