    Researching of Pre-Service Teachers’ Views about the Factors Effecting Human Health to Different Variables

  • Abstract
    The aim of this study was to find out the view of pre service teachers about factors affecting human health to gender, university and department. For this purposes, the pre service teachers’ view about the effect of nutrition, technology, harmful habits, drug use, and physical activity on human health were explored. Pre-service teachers (n=756) from departments of primary education, science education and social studies at Celal Bayar and Dokuz Eylul University participated in this research. The questionnaire of pre-service teachers’ views related to the factors effecting human health was exploited as the data-collecting tool. In the analyzing gathered from this study, MANOVA was used. In the result of data analysis, female pre-service teachers was more conscious than male pre service teachers in the effects of obesity, drinking alcohol and smoking cigarette, drug using wrongly, radiation and doing sport on human health. Study showed that the significance differences between departments of pre-service teachers were found out in the items about the using frozen food, preferring wireless material and suggesting a drug. Besides, in considering university variable, there were differences in the subject related to the difficulty of leaving smoking according to the views of pre service teachers about it. It is thought that this study contributes to the literature in respect to the finding out of preservice teachers views’ about the factors effecting human health.
