Abstract
One of the most important factors affecting globalization and regional cooperation is the level of trade relations. Türkey and Iran are the two most important actors in terms of economics, social and political effects in the Middle East. It is important to analyze the factors effecting commerce and other relations between two countries. Because Iran’s relations with Turkey cause both positive and negative influences in the Middle East, the Caucasus, the European Union and the U.S. The article examines the exchange rate as a basic economic variable and religion, language, culture, level of education, political system and industrial development indexes as psychological variables. First of all, the cross-sectional analysis on 30 countries exporting from Turkey, including Iran, will be inducted. Then Turkey and Iran commercial relations will be examined by time series analyses between 1960 and 2010.
