    The Direct Foreign Investment Effect on Income Distribution in Iran

  • Abstract
    Iran is one of the major developing countries with high potential in Middle East region. Private and foreign direct investment (FDI) is engine of economic growth and income in growth models. Investment is affecting income distribution by employing, producing and economic growth positively. FDI is a way of international capital source financing for capital poor countries. The article examines FDI effects on income distribution indexes (Gini coefficient and the latest slice to one slice ratio). The variables used in this paper are Gini coefficient, the latest slice to one slice ratio, FDI, GDP, population, government expenditure, taxes and private investment.
