Abstract
In our study we tried to include creation story arisen in Germanic mythology. Even though mythologic stories are developed in various societies and cultures, it is clear that they are affected by one another. Trying to give information associated with mythology that provides inspiration for art and literary works shortly, we aimed to address myth of creation in Germanic mythology which appears in every culture. In the continuation of the legend saying “There is Ginnungagap id est abyss initially.” creation of titans, and then gods and goddesses were ranked and the life tree called “Yggdrasil” constituted the nine universes of Germanic myth. The sea, stone, mountain etc. were all created from every limb of Ymir’s body, the first living being, giant. The study, at the same time, attempts to give information about gods and goddesses in Germanic Mythology. We also examined some signs such as Ragnarok that will be seen during the war named twilight of Gods, eschaton or domesday.
