Abstract
Abdülhak Şinasi is an avant-garde and modernist novelist of Republican Period. His writings have caused confusions, admirations and confusions from the date they had been published. Many writers and critics have been defined his novels as memories; likewise his biographical works and essays are as similar to the novel. Hisar uses memory as an art form. The confusions caused from Hisar’s work are related with this condition that Hisar’s writings are experimental, modernist and pioneering works. His works aren’t only memories or autobiographical texts. He doesn’t tell his memories in his novels, memoir / essays and biographical works that host a great many intertextual interests among themselves; also his works are fictional writings. Eventually he has benefited from the aesthetics of memorabilia.
