Abstract
Ivraca was founded as a strategically important spot in North West Bulgaria. City, which came under Ottoman domination in Bayezid period, was organised as a township of Nigbolu Sanjak. In 1642 Ivraca Township consisted of 10 quarters and 56 villages. Most of the population was non-moslem. In this study, based on information in 1642 avariz register, information about population structure, military and religious officials of Ivraca Township is given. Besides, Township’s derbend, voynuk and miner villages are emphasised.
