Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the terms “scientific autonomy” and “academic freedom” that define the university. Scientific autonomy includes independence of legal, ethical laws and of thought and method at large. Academic freedom is the research independence and the right of communication of the thoughts of academics without any prevention. There should also be certain principles in order to have such rights of universities. This article evaluates such issues as rights, principles, legality and ethics of academics.
