Abstract
Bioethics, which may be regarded as a branch of ethics or part of moral values, is a very young area of study emerging in the twentieth century. In general, bioethics generally addresses moral problems brought about by the application of the science on the technology and medicine. Therefore, some problems arising in area of ethics inevitably reflected on bioethics as well. In medical sciences where technical aspects are in the foreground, many problems such as availability of an ethics oriented assessment, criteria to be used in such assessment, quality of the moral decision maker may be considered within this context. Undoubtedly, there are different approaches arising from various aspects in bioethics as well as in morals. In fact, nature of different assessments arising in moral injunctions, behaviors, judgment and decision making is determined by the presence of different point of views. By asserting philosophical and theological background of such different perspectives to some extent, this study aims to give an idea about the nature of bioethics studies.
