The Relationship Between Logic and Progression in Thought Before Contemporary Philosophy

Progression is a case that has attracted attenttion and that has been analyzed from various aspects in the history of thought. The concept of progression that is dealt with from many aspects such as social, scientific, intellectual, and historcial was first used in 19th century. In parallel with the scientific and technological progession in this era, it was expected that the society and civilization enter into the same process of progression. When the origin of the term of progression is examined, it is seen that the idea of progression was dealt with various philophosers and was associated with logic in the Modern Ages and the Enlightenment. Logic is necesaary to improve the civilization and society thus leading to become human free. In this study, it is analyzed how the parallelism between the use of logic by human and progession of the society is dealt with in the eras of thougth before modern philosophy. Furthermore, historical and social viewpoints of some philophosers are examined in those eras
