Abstract
Physical and Human Geography features that are important in shaping the culture of the people of the region isperforminga task. Folkculture, such as housing types, forms of clothing, foodcultureis shaped by the geographical characteristics including most particularly climate features. Geographical featuresof this perspective evaluated the effects of folk culturein the Republic of Bosnia Herzegovinain this study.As is known, Bosnia-Herzegovina comprises of two main geographical territories. Bosnia is a territory which is close to Serbian border and has typical Balkan climate and structure. Herzegovina is called the region which is close to Dalmatia coasts and under the influence of Dalmatia-Mediterranean climate. Bosnian population is dense in both Bosnia and Herzegovina. As well as the same population lives in both territories, some differences can be observed in Bosnian popular culture in both territories. While mainly meat and pastry dishes appear in Bosnia territory with the effect of geography, olive oiled and vegetable-weighted dishes are common in Herzegovina. Islamization has deep and strong effects in Bosnia compared to Herzegovina. Additionally, there are more poets of Classical poetry in Herzegovina whereas dervish poets are more common in Bosnia.
