Abstract
Western Taurus where Antalya is located in the Gulf of the West of Antalya rise in the form of a set of behind the coast as a gradual. Those places are the center for recreation plateau. These plateaus has undergone continuing operations some significant changes over time. This process played a role in the transformation proceses of the plateaus, some of them maintained their traditional structures, and some settlements have emerged into a new plateau. In Antalya, which is considered as the tourism capital of Turkey, plateu festivals have been organized by recently in addition to national and international fairs and festivals. The number of these activities which are aimed at the promotion of culture is increasing every day. The social activities that are highland festival don not have economic purposes. The main objective of this research study is to find out functional changes proceses of western Taurus plateus and the festivals’ effect in them.
