Analysis of Natural Factors That Cause Flood and High-Water in Muş

Flood and high-water do not occur due to a single factor. Separation of the different components that make up the natural features of floods and high-water, will provide more efficient use of space made on the basis of space planning studies. Space, time intervals that could be dangerous in terms of facilitating the identification of a very human activity will be guiding the organization to start and end dates. In this study the factors cause floods and high-water occurs in the plain of Mus that mostly turns into a natural disaster are analyzed. In analyzing the geomorphological factors, using Arc GIS program from CBS instruments, in analysis of climate data, values of Mus meteorological stations histograms converted interpretations were chosen. As a result of geomorphologic analysis of the factors in more than 50% of Mus plain flood events can be experienced, it is concluded that in 40% section of the plain flood – high-water may occur. As a result of analysis of climate data; it was concluded that in February and March the snow melts due to sudden temperature increases, as a result of rapidly melting snow in the month of April with the effect of precipitation and flooding in plain of Mus as the critical months.
