Abstract
In this paper, newly developed finite element method with weighted extended b-spline computer modeling have been applied to calculate the corneal surface temperature rise of the human eye during microwave irradiation. The heat conduction model of the microwave-irradiated eye is constructed. The mechanism of heat transfer from the eye and the selection of the thermal parameters of the media of the eye are also discussed. The implementation of these parameters in the weighted extended b-spline solution of the heat conduction is then developed. Furthermore, temperature rises calculations are compared with the studies in the literature examining the distribution of heat in the eye which were exposed to microwaves in different ways.
