Abstract
Technological developments, rapid population growth and industrialization have caused important changes in the infrastructure and infrastructure of the cities. This situation makes the impact of the cities more evident especially in the present day when the world has turned into a global village. These and similar problems in cities have brought to the fore such as smart city and spatial analysis, making the use of Geographic Information Systems in this field mandatory. Spatial analysis made provides information about the carrying capacity of the cities, and enables many problems such as security, transportation and infrastructure to be identified and resolved. Spatial analysis of the schools in the city center of Karaköprü was carried out in this study, which was prepared under the heading “Analysis of Accessibility to Schools in Karaköprü on the Geographic Information Systems Base”. Numerical and vector data obtained from the relevant institutions are mapped with ArcGIS 10.5 software, a geographic information systems software. While preparing the maps, the topology and network (network) analysis of the data in the accessibility analysis were analyzed in accordance with the distances in the relevant legislation and the alternative distances used in other studies that previously studied accessibility. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the primary school and primary school where the biggest problem is encountered in accessibility. On the other hand, it is seen that accessibility problem is not much in secondary and high school schools.
