Abstract
Mankind has met its needs by evaluating the opportunities offered by nature since its existence. With the purpose of production, we have invented tools and tools, machines, and established facilities. As a consequence of this continuing situation, the facilities which were initially in the nature of revolution lose importance and become dysfunctional over time. One of them water mills. In the present study, it was aimed to determine the water mills in the Batlama Stream basin, which is located in the central districts of Giresun province. In this context, the coordinates of the water mills on the field were determined by GPS; inventory has been drawn in terms of size, building material, construction technique, form, function, usability, ownership and impact of each. As a result, in the water mills, it has been proposed that those who stand out in terms of aesthetic situation and accessibility should be kept alive by carrying out environmental regulations in order to protect industrial heritage and transfer them to future generations. For this purpose, the thesis has been put forward that the tourism sector developing in the region can be used as a tool.
