Abstract
Construction sector has some specialties such as; being associated with approximately 150 different sectors, creating high added value, generating a high employment potential, having a compact input-output relevancy with other sectors including mainly production sector, creating exchange earnings via foreign operations and providing employment for an important number of unskilled labor. Due to these qualifications explained above, the effects of the enterprises in construction sector bring dynamism to the economy. The SWOT analyzing technique which dis-cusses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats separately is used in this study in order to reveal the factors determining the entrepreneur orientation in Turkish construction sector. It is assumed that the data obtained will be guiding for protecting the entrepreneurial strengths of the sector while improving the weaknesses and developing proper strategies for the threats and opportunities that might be encountered.
