Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the indicator woody taxa for determining habitat preference of some wild mammalian species in Isparta-Gölcük Natural Park. 213 sample plots were taken in the course of the study in the Gölcük Natural Park. Presence/absence data for mammalian wild animals and woody plants were recorded at each sample plot. To examine the data, Interspecific correlation analysis was preferred in various analytical methods. According to the results, Taurus cedar (Cedrus libani) for brown hare (Lepus europaeus), Sloe (Prunus spinosa), for wild boar (Sus scrofa), Sloe, Wild pear (Pyrus elaeagnifolia), Oriental plane (Platanus orientalis) and Taurus cedar for badger (Meles meles) and Dog rose (Rosa canina) for marten (Martes foina) were recorded as positive indicator species. Besides, Poplar (Populus sp.) and Oak (Quercus sp.) for brown hare and Black pine (Pinus nigra) for badger were determined as negative indicator species. The results showed that the areas covered by fruited and phanerogamous woody plants such as Taurus cedar, Sloe, Dog rose, Wild pear, Oriental Plane, Poplar and Oak could be said the most suitable sites for target wild mammalian species in the study area.
