    Perceptions of Field Experts on The Use of Empathic Thinking in Social Studies

  • Abstract
    Social studies are a field of study that includes many cognitive, affective and dynamic achievements at each educational level. The achievements within this study area have an important influence on the student s collective and collective outlook. The process of determining these effects is realized with the understanding of the addressee. This understanding function In order to prevent orientation, the individual should not compromise his / her character and personality. This can only be done with empathic thinking. In this research, which is prepared for the acquisition and use of this thinking skill, the usage and field specialist perceptions in the social studies course are taken as criteria. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by qualitative data analysis technique. The working group whose opinions were taken through the semi-structured interview form; İnönü, Fırat,, Akdeniz, Gazi, Atatürk, Anatolia, Siirt and İbrahim are the faculty members and staff members of the Social Sciences Education Department of the Faculty of Education affiliated to Chechen Universities. When the findings obtained from the research are examined, we can say that the field experts who constitute the study group have different perceptions about the use of empathic thinking in the field of social studies education, and they justify this situation differently. The NVivo 11 program was used to analyze the answers given by the field experts to the questions in the interview form and to create the models. Encodings were formed according to the common opinions of the researchers. Findings based on the perception of the use of empathic thinking skills of field specialists in the study group in the field of social studies education have been reached, with common themes and findings forming differentiated themes.
