Abstract
There are six transboundary water basins in our country. This study was conducted to evaluate water use in agriculture for the year 2016 in irrigation schemes in the Fırat basin, one of the transboundary basins. In this study, four comparative performance indicators related to income for the unit area and water obtained by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) as a performance indicator were used together with other water use efficiency indicators. These indications are; gross production value per unit command area (PABÜD), gross production value per unit irrigated area (FSABÜD), gross production value per unit irrigation supply (SSKBÜD), gross production value per unit water consumed (SSİBÜD), water supply ratio (STO) and irrigation ratio (SO). In the research area, water supply ratio is 0,21-22,91, irrigation ratio is %4-176, gross production value per unit command area is 402,72-4247,83 TLha^-1, gross production value per unit irrigated area is 523,16-20,162,80 TLha^-1, gross production value per unit irrigation supply 0,05-1,59 TLm^-3, gross production value per unit water consumed is 0,05-0,51 TLm^-3.
