  • Abstract
Study was conducted to determine nutritional status of banana orchards in Alanya region by means of soil and leaf analyses. For this, soil and leaf samples were taken from 27 orchards. In soil samples, same basic soil analyses such as pH, EC, CaCO_3, organic matter, available/extractable P, K, Ca, Mg, K and DTPA extractable Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn analyses were conducted. At the same time, N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Mn, Fe, Zn and Cu concentrations were determined in leaf samples. According to the soil analyses, soils are slightly alkaline with moderate lime content. Salt content is between slightly salty and very salty generally. Most of the soils are sufficient in terms of organic matter, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn and Cu content, but Mn content of all soils are below the sufficient level. Looking at the leaf analyses, it was found that there was not a deficiency for most of the nutrients. The most nutritional problem was found as Mn, and 33 percent of the trees have Mn deficiency.
