Abstract
Apple is the most produced species in decidious fruits and high density plantation comes to the fore in its cultivation. In this context, the most preferred M9 rootstock has a weak root system and slow growth rate, because of that in some cases, the profit share of cultivation is decreased. In this study, the effects of different organic fertilizer formulations and indole butyric acid on the morphological properties of M9 rootstock were investigated. As a result, increase in the root development of the plant was positively reflected on the above ground parts. The lowest values in terms of trunk width and length were measured in the control group as 6.7 cm and 75.8 cm respectively, while the highest values were obtained from Fulyzme plus 3 g/plant application for trunk width with 8.2 cm and Blackjak 10 ppm/plant application with 91.4 cm in trunk length. With regard to root number, indole butyric acid (IBA) came into prominence and the highest value was determined as 18.2 pieces/plant with the application of 100 ppm/plant. Root number relations with trunk width and trunk length were found to be positive, and the correlation coefficients were 0.33 ***, 0.34 ***, respectively.
