    The Effect of Zinc and Iron Fertilizer Application on the Development and Growth Parameters of Siyez Wheat (T. monococcum)

  • Abstract
    In this study, it was aimed to determine the iron and zinc fertilizer requirements of the plant in case of growing siyez wheat (T. monococcum) under calcareous soil conditions in Konya. There was no study in our country on how much micronutrient needs of siyez wheat or whether there is any desire for fertilization. In the experiment carried out under greenhouse conditions, different doses of Zn (0, 4, 8, 16 mg Zn kg^-1) and Fe (0, 4, 8, 16 mg Fe kg^-1) were applied to siyez wheat planted in calcareous soil. The experiment was established according to the factorial experiment design of random plots. It was conducted between November 2017 and July 2018. Plant height, number of spike, spike length, biomass yield and grain yield values of siyez wheat were determined. According to the results obtained, average plant height was 83,7-102,4 cm, number of spike was 22,3-27,0 pcs / pot, spike length was between 2,9- 4,0 cm, biomass yield was between 18,4-23,0 g / pot, and grain yield was between 4,6-6,0 g / pot. Significant differences were observed between Fe doses and Zn doses in statistical analyzes. Furthermore, Fe * Zn interaction was statistically significant.
