Effect of Different Nitrogen Dose Applications on Yield and Yield Components of Some Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Varieties

This study was conducted to determine the effect of different nitrogen (0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 kg/ha pure nitrogen) doses on yield and yield components of some peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.) varieties (Halisbey, Georgia Green and NC-7) in the fields of Faculty of Agriculture in Siirt University in two years (2017-2018). The trial was established with three replications according to the split plot trial design. Observations such as plant height (cm), lateral number (pcs), number of fruits per plant (pcs), yield per decare(kg/da), internal/shell ratio (%), 100 seed weight (g), oil content (%) and protein ratio (%) were taken in the experiment. According to the results, the effect of different nitrogen dose applications on yield was found to be statistically significant at 1% level in both years. In the first year, the highest yield was obtained with 528,01 kg/da from 12 kg/da pure nitrogen application, and Halisbey variety with 476.24 kg/da was done the highest yield variety. In the second year, the highest yield was obtained from 16 kg/da pure nitrogen application with 408.29 kg/da. Similar with the first year, the highest yield was obtained from Halisbey variety with 457.181 kg/da.
