  • Abstract
    The aim of this work is to synthesize a new N-alkyl-1-H-pyrazol-3-one by alkylation of pyrazolyl pyrazolone obtained by condensation of 3-acetyl-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2H-pyran-2- one (dehydroacetic acid) with phenylhydrazine in absolute ethanol catalyzed with copper sulfate pentahydrate. The alkylation reactions were performed using a variety of alkylating reagents in dimethylformamide, under phase transfer catalysis conditions (PTC).The new obtained compounds were characterized by ^1H NMR and ^13C NMR spectroscopy.
