  • Abstract
    Quinoxaline constitutes a fused heterocycle compoundcontaining pyrazine and benzene moieties, has gained a significant attention in the field of bioorganic and medicinal chemistry. Quinoxaline derivatives have demonstrated numerous pharmacological activities and are used as building blocks in pharmaceuticals, agrochimicals, inhibitors, pigments, herbicides and fine chemicals. This review aims to be a comprehensive and general summary of the different quinoxaline syntheses. We are also interested in their reactivity towards several reagents, as well as their biological activities.
