Health professionals are constantly communicating with patients and relatives from different socio cultural characteristics as required by their profession.Success of this communication process for both sides influences treatment process, satisfaction of patients and healthcare workers’s job satisfaction, reputation and image of hospital. Therefore, communication that has an important position in health care services needs to be managed well. Patients and their relatives who complain that health worker does not understand himself or that he is not interested in himself or herself sometimes tries to find a solution by resorting to violence. It is important for health workers to be educated about medical communication, conflict and anger management and how to communicate with patients and their relatives, how to give bad news to a patient and how to communicate with aggressive patients. during medical education. In this study, communication, which is seen as one of the causes of violence between health worker and patient and their relatives, was examined, discussed and evaluated. For health workers in health care sector, developing communication skills and take course on this subject will facilitate communication with patients and their relatives.
