Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of gender on athletes’ perception of coach behaviour. The sample of the study consisted of 405 amateur athletes (n=85 female and n=120 male) engaged in individual and team sports. Research data were obtained by “Perceived Coach Attitudes and Behaviors Scale” (PCABS) consisting of 24 items and 3 dimensions (Characteristic Features, Knowledge and Skill Accumulation, Justice) developed by Üzüm ve Ark. (2018). The datas were analysed by Mann Whitney U-test and Spearman Correlation tests. The significance level of the study was accepted as p 0.05. The results of the study indicated that the most effective coach behaviors are those related to the “characteristics Features” on gender.
