Abstract
Tourist guides are tourist employees who are in direct contact with tourists and at the forefront of tourism. The aim of this study is to determine how tourists performance and ethical behavior are perceived by tourists and to determine whether this perception differs according to the demographic characteristics of tourists. The questionnaire form, which was developed as a result of a comprehensive literature review, was applied to 438 domestic and foreign tourists visiting Nevsehir province. In this research, statistical analysis methods such as frequency distribution analysis, explanatory factor analysis, T test, Anova and Tukey multiple comparison test for the assessment of the tourists’ socio-demographic characteristics, were used. In the results of the study, it was concluded that perceptions differed according to the gender of the tourists, in the dimension of reliability and fairness according to the educational status, in the dimension of talent according to nationality and in the dimensions of reliability and fairness according to the duration of the tour. At the same time ıt was found that the age of tourists and the number of visits did not differentiate their perceptions.
