Abstract
The aim of this study is to make an assessment on the activities of the traders of Siirt, who are engaged in trade in Erzurum and its surroundings. Historical document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The data of the study are composed of Erzurum Customs Books. These historical documents, which consist of fifteen books in total, were kept by Erzurum customs officers on a monthly and daily basis. Work; In line with the information obtained from the Erzurum customs records of 1825 and 1826, it is important in terms of revealing the names of the traders of Siirt, the origin of the commodity subject to their trade, the tax amounts per item and the ratio of this amount in the customs revenue.
