INVESTIGATION OF THE PERSPECTIVE AND TENDENCY TOWARDS ACCOUNTING PROFESSION OF STUDENTS TAKING ACCOUNTING AND FINACE COURSES: THE CASE OF KASTAMONU UNIVERSITY

The main purpose of this study is to reveal the perspective towards the accounting profession and tendency to choose the occupation of the students, who are studying accounting and finance at the undergraduate level at the Kastamonu University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Banking and Finance Department. The survey technique was used to collect the data needed within the scope of the research. The survey was applied to 262 students. The data obtained were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H tests through the SPSS package program. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the students perspective on the accounting profession differed statistically significantly according to their demographic characteristics, also the students tendency to work in the field of accounting was high.
