Abstract
In this paper, it has been analyzed music text books and sheet music books in Turkey in early 2016. In this frame, it has been determined that total 928 music books (528 of text - 400 of sheet music) are in the markets and bookstores in early 2016. Besides, there are 66 publishers determined which have min. Three publications. Also, we can say that in last five years, music book quantity of has been increased 60%. From this research the first five publishers publishing most music related text books have been determined as Pan, Boyut, Yapi Kredi, Muzik Egitimi Yayinlari and Alfa Publishing. Also, the first five publishers publishing of sheet music have been determined as Bemol, Pan, Portemem, Müzik Eğitimi and Senfoni Müzik Publishing.When we handle to Turkish composer’s repertoire for qualified publications, it has been determined ten books for piano, 19 books for voice and 12 books for guitar. Today the most important problems for music publishers in Turkey, royalty-distributing issues, and illegal photocopy.
