Abstract
The study focuses on the mediating role of proactive personality in the relationship between subjective vitality and curiosity. The Subjective Vitality Scale, Proactive Personality Scale, and Curiosity and Exploration Inventory-II were administrated to a sample of 311 students (77.8% females). Data analysis was done via correlation analysis and regression based mediation analysis. Furthermore, a bootstrap method was used to investigate direct and indirect effects in the mediation model. Findings showed that proactive personality has a mediating effect on the relationship between subjective vitality and curiosity. The bootstrap analysis results revealed that the model has indirect and direct effects. When proactive personality variable is controlled, subjective vitality has both direct and indirect effects on curiosity.
