  • Abstract
    Autism spectrum disorders, a neuro-developmental disorder within the special education category, has been mentioned very often in recent years. The most important goal in the education of autistic individuals is to contribute to their independence. In the study, the effectiveness of the video modeling method in the teaching of cold beverage preparation and serving skills of the students with high functioning autism was examined. Three students, aged 10 and 11 participated in the research. In the research, a multi-sample model among the subjects was used. The start-up level, teaching and monitoring sessions were conducted to assess the effectiveness of the video modeling in the teaching of cold beverage preparation and serve skills. The findings of the study indicate that video modeling method is effective in the teaching of the skills of preparing and presenting cold beverage skills to students with high-functioning autism, and also indicates that they protect their skills after the training is over.
