Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the effect of science and technology news’ on students’ continuing science learning motivation. An experimental design including matched pre-test and post-test with the control group was used in the research. This study was realized during spring fall of the 2015-2016 academic year in Eskisehir. 47 students from 7th grade have participated in the study. In the experiment group, science and technology news were discussed by the teacher, and the courses were instructed as suggested in science application course curriculum in the control group. “Continuing Motivation for Science Learning” was used as the data collection tool. Frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA were used in the analysis of the data obtained from the research. As a result of the research it was found that there were not significant differences between continuing motivation towards science learning post-tests of the control and experimental groups.
