Abstract
This research aims to explore the relationship between prospective teachers’ social media attitude and their internet addiction. Having a relational screening model design, this study hosts a total of 392 prospective teachers who study at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Education during the fall semester of 2015 and 2016 academic year. Sample selection process has not been applied in the study since the research was carried out on the entire population. Analyses have revealed that prospective teachers’ social media attitude is at a medium level and they are not internet addicts. Besides, a medium, linear and positive relation has been noted between prospective teachers’ social media attitude and their internet addiction. Regression analysis has also depicted those prospective teachers’ social media attitude accounts for about 7% of their internet addiction.
